Zamdram came about by
a few friends
chatting in a bar. Some had done "amdram" in the UK
and having free time in winter they thought it would be
nice to put on a production or play to entertain the locals
and ex-pat community. Once the
seed had taken root, the enthusiasm followed and after
searching for a script, a traditional English Pantomime was
their first production. So Zante Amateur
Dramatics was born.
The first production of Cinderella was
held in Pigadakia the end of March 2008 with two more performance
following in Pigadakia and Alakanas. The dress
rehearsal was performed in front of a few friends who
quickly proclaimed it a success and the three performances
were played to packed houses. It is hoped that the
success will continue and anyone who would be interested in

meeting will be 15th November 2010, Neraida Alykanas at 12
noon
Please come along we need actors, actresses, dressmakers,
painters, any one who has a creative mind and if you have
never acted before but would like to start small, then the
chorus may be the place to start.
